Two angles of an equilateral triangle have measures 3x°+27° and 2y°-4°. Find x+y.

Equalateral triangle angles ALL equal 60 degrees

so    60 = 3x+27   solve for x = 11

        60 = 2y-4                     y= 32

 

then x+y = 11 + 32 = 43
