Circumference =      pi * diameter

So

44  = pi*diameter

44/pi  =  diameter  =  side of  equilateral triangle

 

 

Area  of an equilateral triangle = 

 

(sqrt(3) / 4 ) * side^2   =

 

(sqrt (3) /  4)  *  (44/pi)^2   ≈  84.94  cm^2
