Please help me<3
1. What is the simplest form of the radical expression √48x^4y^3
Thank you!! (I posted this a little over 45 minutes ago so im trying again <3)
√[ 48x^4y^3 ] = √16 *√3 * √x^4 *√y^3 = 4 * √3 * x^2 *y√y =
4x^2y√ [ 3y]
Second one.....easiest way to do this is to simplify top/bottom separately
1 + 2 [ y + 2x^2]
__ __ = ____________ (1) and
x^2 y x^2y
5 - 6 [ 5y^2 - 6x ]
__ ____ = ___________ (2)
x y^2 xy^2
So we have (1) / (2)
Keep (1) , invert (2) and multiply
[ y + 2x^2] [xy^2]
_________ * _________ =
x^2y [ 5y^2 - 6x]
[ y + 2x^2] [ xy^2 ]
________ * _______ =
[5y^2 - 6x ] [x^2y]
[ y + 2x^2 ] * [ y ]
_________ _____ =
[ 5y^2 - 6x] [ x]
[ y^2 + 2x^2y ]
____________
[ 5xy^2 - 6x^2]
