How do you find the x-intercept in y=7

The x-intercept occurs when y = 0.

So...plug in 0 for y and solve for x.

y = 7

0 = 7     false, no solution

So...there is no x-intercept.

This is just a straight horizontal line at y = 7 that never crosses the x-axis.
