2/5 of Josh's money was 3/4 of Ken's money. When Ken gave Josh $28, both of them would have the same amount of money. How much did Josh have at first?

We can write an equation where j= josh's money and k = ken's money.

2/5j=3/4kk-28=k

Solve.

This is impossible...to see why

(2/5)J  = (3/4)K

J  = (5/2)(3/4)K

J =  (15/8)K

So...originally....Josh  has  more  money  than Ken   -  (15/8) ths  as  much

So...if Ken  gives  Josh   $28......they  can't possibly  have  the  same amount......
