Solve for b:
3/(3 b+7) = 2/(b-7)

Take the reciprocal of both sides:
1/3 (3 b+7) = (b-7)/2

Expand out terms of the left hand side:
b+7/3 = (b-7)/2

Expand out terms of the right hand side:
b+7/3 = b/2-7/2

Subtract b/2+7/3 from both sides:
b/2 = -35/6

Multiply both sides by 2:
Answer: |b = -35/3 =-11 2/3

3/(3 b+7) = 2/(b-7) cross multiply

3b - 21 = 6b + 14

3b = -21 -14

3b = - 35

b = -35/3 =-11 2/3
