Triangle ABC is a right triangle with angle BAC= 90 degrees and angle B > angle . Suppose AP is an altitude of the triangle, AQ is an angle bisector of the triangle, and AR is a median of the triangle, and angle PAQ = 13 degrees. If P is on BQ, then what is the measure of angle RAC?

Please proofread your question.

Are we supposed to have a value for angle B ?

Anyway, I draw it to scale and have convinced myself that the answer is 13 degrees.

You need to work out why of course

Hi melody, sorry but that's incorrect we are actually trying to find the measure of RAC, not RAQ.

okay.

You could have easily worked out the graphically solution from my first pic.  Did you think about it?

It always is a good idea to think before racing in.

45-13 = 32
