y = 8x - 6

3y + 2x = -7

The first equation gives you the definition of y....sub this into the second equation:

 

3 (8x-6)       +        2x    = -7      now you should be easily able to solve for 'x'  

                                                     then sustitute this 'x' into one of the equtions to find 'y'
