Thank you for your response! I personally do not think I can, and I would think I would have to have this explained to me to some extent. It's not that I fell asleep in class or anything, I just didn't get this part so much and want to get a passing grade on test!
The semi circle area is 1/2 of a circle of radius 2 (the diameter is 4 from the graph)
area of the full circle would be pi r^2
semi circle area = 1/2 pi r^2 = 1/2 pi (2^2)
Area for a triangle is 1/2 bh b= 4 h= 5 (from the graph)
triangle area = 1/2 (4)(5)
Add the reds together for the final answer ....wooohooooo!
