In right triangle \(XYZ\) with \(\angle YXZ = 90^\circ\), we have \(XY = 24\) and \(YZ = 25\). Find \(\tan Y\).

Right triangle, the hypotenuse is=25 , XY=24, therefore XZ=7 (How?, 25^2-24^2=625-576=49,sqrt(49)=7)

tan y(Angle y I assume)=opposite/adjacent = XZ/YX=7/24

so

tan Y=7/24
