A white square is inscribed in a blue circle, which is inscribed in a larger orange square.

Which area is larger, orange or blue?

If R is the radius of the circle: White area is (2R*2R)/2, which is the same as 2R^2.

For the orange area, we can do 2R*2R-3.14R^2, which would be the same as 0.86R^2.

The blue area, we do 3.14*R^2-2R^2, which is the same as 1.13R^2.

So, we can see that the blue is bigger.

Hope this helped!
