A certain club has 50 people, and 4 members are running for president. Each club member votes for one of the 4 candidates. How many different possible vote totals are there?

There are 46 people voting.

Each person has 4 choices.

So we multiply 46*4=184

There are 184 possible vote totals.

Yay!

Why can't all 50 members vote?

I dunno, if thats the case, then just multiply again xD

50x4=200

Even easier.

Not sure of this answer, but I think there a LOT of possible out comes

If there are FOUR candidates

a   b c d

50 0 0 0

49 0 0 1

49 0 1 0

49 1 0 0

48 0 0 2

48 0 2 0

48 2 0 0

48 0 1 1

48 1 1 0

48 1 0 1       So for each vote less that  a  gets there are 3 more choices

summation  3 + 6 + .........147 = 3675     Plus the four votes where one candidate gets all of the votes = 3679 possible vote tallies

NOT SURE OF THIS ANSWER! cheeky
