This problem is fairly simple, actually. You can set up a proportion. As a reference, 100 pennies is the equivalent of one dollar:

 

\(\frac{100pennies}{$1}=\frac{8000000pennies}{$x}\)

 

Cross multiply to solve the proportion:

 

\(100x=8000000\)   

 

Finally, divide by 100 on both sides to isolate x:

 

\(x=$80000\)  And of course, leave the units in your final answer!
