Please show how to figure it out and the answer.. Thank you

 

1. What is the equivalent of 3 quarts per second in gallons per hour?

 

2. What is the equivalent of 60 miles per hour in meters per second? ( 1 meter = 3.3 feet)

There are 3600 sec in an hour.....so

3600sec * 3qts. per second = 10800 quarts/hr

And since there are 4 qts. to a gallon, we have

10800 qts / 4 qts  = 2700 gal per hr

60mph x 5280 ft/mi = 316800 ft / 3.3ft = 96000 m/hr

Divide this by 3600 to get m/sec = 26.67 m/sec
