A 87-inch pipe is out into two pieces. One piece is two times the lenght of the other. Find the lenght of the two pieces.
If one piece is twice as long as the other, we actually have three equal pieces....so, each piece = 87 / 3 = 29 in
So....2 pieces = 2(29) = 58 inches
