To get the shade of purple paint ordered by a client, you must mix red:blue:white in the ratio 3:5:8. How many fluid ounces of each color do you need to make 1 gallon of paint? (Remember, there are 128 fl. Oz. In a gallon.)

3 + 5 + 8  = 16 parts

3/16  is red     3/16  x 128 =        oz of red

5 /16  is blue  5/16  x 128 =         oz of blue

8/16 is white   8/16 x 128 =         oz of white
