Suppose g is a linear function such that g(2.5) = 13.6. If the slope of g is -3.2, what is g(8.8)? (Round your answer to two decimal places.)

If someone answers this, can I please get an explanation.

The function is linear , so it can be written in line form    y = mx+b    where m = slope = -3.2

y = -3.2 x + b      you are given one point  ( 2.5, 13.6)    sub that in to get 'b'

13.6 = (-3.2)(2.5) + b      to find b = 21.6

so   g(x) = -3.2 x  + 21.6       now put in x = 8.8        and calculate  g(8.8)= ......
