Please help!

 

The increasing list of five different integers {3, 4, 5, 8, and 9} has a sum of 29. How many increasing lists of five different single-digit positive integers have a sum of 33?

Going in reverse order

 

Note that the largest sum possible is

9, 8, 7, 6 , 5    =  35

 

So...there won't be too many of these !!!

 

9, 8, 7, 6, 3 =  33

9, 8, 7, 5, 4 =  33

 

No other sums = 33  utilizing 9, 8, 7 are possible

 

The next largest possible sum is

9,8,6,5,4 =  32

 

So....the only two lists I find are

 

3,6,7,8,9      and    4,5,7,8,9
