-4(x + 4)  >=  x + 7

 -4x - 16  >=  x + 7                     distribute

 -5x - 16  >= 7                            subtract x

        -5x  >=  23                         add 16

          x  <=  -23/5                      divide by -5; change sense of inequality because you divided by a negative

            ( - infinity, -23/5 ]
