If (2, -7) and (8, 15) are the endpoints of a diameter of a circle, what is the equation of the circle?

Find the distance between these points....this will be the diameter

sqrt ((2-8)^2   + (-7-15)^2)   =  sqrt (36 + 484) = sqrt 520       1/2 of this is the RADIUS  =  sqrt 520  / 2

 

the CENTER (h,k) of the circle is the midpoint between the given points   h,k  =  5, 4 

 

Circle equation =   (x-h)^2   + (y-k)^2 = r^2

                               (x-5)^2  + ( y-4)^2 =  520/4 = 130
