Question: Two diagonals of a parallelogram have lengths 6 and 8. What is the largest possible length of the shortest side of the parallelogram?

I tried 3 and it's incorrect.

Based on my understanding, the lengths a and b should satisfy these inequalities right?

a^2 + b^2 < 8^2

a^2 + b^2 > 6^2
