-1

5x^2   -11x   +  4  = 0

Note that      1/a + 1/b =     (a + b)  / (ab)

The sum of the roots  =  11/5  = a + b

The product of the rooots = ab =  4/5

So

1/a + 1/b =  11/5  / 4/5   =  11  / 4
