In triangle XYZ, angle Y = 45º and angle Z = 60º. If XZ = 4, then what is XY?
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!
Using the Law of Sines
XY / sin 60 = 4/sin45
XY = 4sin 60 / sin 45
XY = 4 sqrt (3) / 2 / ( sqrt (2) / 2 )
XY = 2*2sqrt (3) / sqrt (2)
XY = 4sqrt (3) /sqrt (2)
XY = 4 sqrt (6) /2
XY = 2sqrt (6)
thanks for the help!
You're welcome ....
