1. A rectangular prism has a total surface area of 48. Also, the sum of all the edges of the prism is 40. Find the length of the diagonal joining one corner of the prism to the opposite corner.

2. Let ABCDEFG be a rectangular prism, where EF = 4, EH = 5, and EA = 6. Find the volume of pyramid .

Hint for #2: Start by computing the volume of the whole prism. Then what can you subtract, to find the volume of pyramid ?

2. Let ABCDEFG be a rectangular prism, where EF = 4, EH = 5, and EA = 6. Find the volume of a pyramid.

Prism volume        V = 4 * 5 * 6 = 120

Pyramid volume    V = 1/3 * 120 = 40 cubic units
