z = r cis  θ

 

r = √[ (-3)^2 + 3^2 ]  =  √18  =  3√2

 

θ  =  arctan (  3/-3)  =  arctan (-1)  =  3pi/4

 

So

 

z = 3√2 cis  ( 3pi/4)
