\(2^x=7\\ x\cdot ln\ 2=ln\ 7\\ x=\dfrac{ln\ 7}{ln\ 2}\)

\(4(x - 1 )=4\cdot (\dfrac{ln\ 7}{ln\ 2}-1)\)

\( 4(x - 1)=7.229...\)
