EDITED :  I didn't see the '-' sign in front of the  '7'     (but you should have been able to find the correct answer if you had actually looked at how to arrive at the answer !!!!)

roots  - 7 and 1    means    (x +7)(x-1) = 0      expand

                                           x^2 +6x  -7 = 0

EP is right: The answer is (was) wrong but the method is right.

Your slop post of a question has a minus sign (-) that’s nearly invisible on a tablet.

You should present your questions more clearly. You should also learn to fuck yourself with solutions instead of just the answers. That is, instead of just laying there waiting to be fucked you should participate in the process; it’s more enjoyable for both parties
