On a Cartesian coordinate plane, points (2,1) and (3,4) are adjacent points on a square. What is the area of the square?

I'm assuming that you mean  "adjacent vertices"

If so.....the  square  of the distance between these points  is the area of the square...so...

Area =  (2-3)^2  + (4 -1)^2  =   1 + 3^2  =   10  units^2

Thank you! For whatever reason when I tried to answer this question, I got that each side of the square equaled 3.16 which was wrong :)
