P(t) = 1,000 x (ln(3)^t). You already have "rate of growth, which is ln(3) =1.0986123 - 1 x 100=9.86123% p/m

I think what you want is: " How long does it take 1,000 bacteria to become 10,000?" if that is right, then:

10,000 = 1,000 x  (ln3)^t, solve for t

10,000 / 1,000 = (ln3)^t

10 = (ln3)^t

t =ln(10) / ln (ln3)

t=24.483 - minutes for 1,000 bacteria to grow to 10,000
