A mobile base station (BS) in an urban environment has a power per m2 measurement of 4 µW m-2 at a distance of 175m from the BS. Assuming the propagation follows the inverse fourth power law ) what is a reasonable value to assume at a distance of 350m from the BS?

The REFLECTED wave decays by the 4th power....the transmitted wave at a distance only decays by the 2nd power....sooo

Power ~ k/x^2

4 uW/m^2 = k/175^2        4 (175^2) = k

?? = k/350^2

4(175^2) /(350^2)  = power at 350 = 1 uW/m^2

Fixed typos...Thanx Chris !    Answer not changed.....

Two questions, EP [ since I don't know anything about this....]

What does  uW    represent???

Also...I guess the M62  is supposed to be M^2  ????
