George has a bulldog puppy that weighs 10 1/2 pounds. Martha has a chihuahua puppy that weighs 48 ounces. How much more does George’s puppy weigh? Explain how you found your answer.
Well
1 Pound = 16 ounces
so Marthas chihuahua is 3 pounds because 3*16=48
10*16 = 160+8 Because 16 divided by 1/2 is 8
so 160+8=168
Now to find the difference that would be simple
just do
168-48 = 120
Hope this helps
Nice, Nickolas....but don't forget your UNITS. 120 ounces
In future years...if school is anything like it 'used to be' ....only partial credit will be given for answers without the units!
