Hi anon,

Those x'es would be pronumerals which are unknown numbers :)

Are those x letters supposed to represent an unknown number, or the multiplication operation??

8.5x-4.3=3.3x+3.5

First add 4.3 to BOTH sides and tell me what you get :)

Then subtract 3.3x off both sides

If you need to, show me what you have done and I will help more:)
