M=8

(-4,-6)

How do you write that in point slope formula?

\(m=\frac{y-y1}{x-x1}\)

\(8=\frac{y+6}{x+4}\)

\({\color{blue}y=8x+26}\)

The point-slope formula is:  y - y1  =  m(x - x1)

For your problem:  m = 8     x1 = -4     y1 = -6

Placing these values into the formula:  y - -6  =  8(x - -4)

                                                                   y + 6  =  8(x + 4)

                                                                   y + 6  =  8x + 32

                                                                         y  =  8x + 26

                              or:                               8x - y  =  -26
