If f(x) is a polynomial of degree 7, and g(x) is a polynomial of degree 7, and h(x) is a polynomial of degree 8, then what is the product of the minimum and the maximum possible degrees of f(x) + g(x) + h(x)?

The polynomial of  degree 8  will be unaffected  by  its addition  to  the two polynomials of lesser degree

So...if we  add  these, the min  and  max will be  degree   8

If  we take the product of these.....the   min (and max)   will  be   degree   ( 8 + 7 + 7) =  22
