If f(x) is a polynomial of degree 3, and g(x) is a polynomial of degree 6, then what is the degree of polynomial 2f(x) + 4g(x)?

It will be degree 6      multiplying by a constant does not change the degree

example    f(x) =   x^2 + 2x + 2         is degree 2

     then multiply by constant '3'

             3 f(x)   =    3 x^2 + 6x + 6     still degree 2
