Simplify logbase2 (8/sq rt 32).

Log(2, 8 / (4 * sqrt(2))

log(2,  2/sqrt(2))

Log(2, sqrt(2))

Log(sqrt(2)) / log(2)

= 1 / 2

Thanks guest.

Here is another attack method:

\(log_2\;\frac{8}{\sqrt{32}}\\~\\ =log_2\;\frac{2^3}{({2^5})^{0.5}}\\~\\ =log_2\;\frac{2^3}{2^{2.5}}\\~\\ =log_2\;(2^{3-2.5})\\~\\ =log_2\;(2^{0.5})\\~\\ =0.5\;log_2\;(2)\\~\\ =0.5\;*1\\~\\ =0.5\)
