In the puzzle contest, there are 8 objective questions, Each question has 4 choices of answers and there is only one correct answer. If the participant guesses an answer at random, find the probability that he/she could guess all the 8 questions correctly.

(1/4)^8=1/65,536.

Each question has 4 choices. If you guess randomly, you have 1 in 4 chances of getting the right answer. But, since there are 8 questions in total, then you have to multiply 1/4 by itself 8 times, which is the same as raising 1/4 to the power of 8.
