A card is drawn at random from a pack of 52 playing cards(\(\clubsuit \diamondsuit \heartsuit \spadesuit\)) (without Jokers). What is the probability of getting a card which is neither a 6 nor a \(\heartsuit\)?

PS: I typed the suits in LaTeX just for creativity :P

Thanks Solveit

That is a good answer - I'd be inclined to keep your answer exact though.

36/52 = 9/13

Thanks to you too Max, I have not seen the card suits pictured in LaTex before - I will put that in the LaTex thread that we keep with the sticky topics :))

i think:

minus all the cards with heart on it:

52*(3/4)=39

minus all the cards with 6:

39-3=36 (3 because we already have minused one 6 with heart on it)

The probability: 36/52 = 0.6923076923076923(70%)
