its known that there are 10 faulty light bulbs among a shipment of 100 lightbulbs;. if the testing department randomly chooses 5 lightbulbs from the shipment to test, whats the probability that there is at least one faulty lightbulb chosen among the 5 to be tested

Probability of no faulty bulbs is 0.95, so the probability of at least one faulty bulb is 1 - 0.95 = 0.40591

My previous reply is approximate!

More correctly, Probability of no faulty bulbs is. 90*89*88*87*86/(100*99*98*97*96)

Probability of at least one faulty bulb is therefore obtained by subtracting this from 1 to get (approximately) 0.41625.
