Sally spins a fair spinner numbered 1-5 and rolls a fair dice.

What is the probability of obtaining a multiple of 3 and a factor of 10?

I'm assuming that  we're taking about obtaining a multiple of three on the spinner and a factor of ten on the dice

The only multiple of three possible on the spinner is 3

The factors of 10 possible on the die  are  1, 2 and 5

So....

P( multiple of three on the spinner)  = 1/5  =  A

P(obtaining a factor of ten on the dice)  = 3/6  = 1/2   = B

So.....

P( A and B)   =   (1/5) (1/2)  =  1/10
