A sports shop sells three brands of rackets , A, B and C . It has 24 rackets in stock. There are at least two of each brand. If one racket is taken at random, the probability it is taken racket A is 1/3 . What is the greatest number of brand C the shop could have in stock?

If the probability that Brand A is chosen is 1/3, since there are 24 rackets, there must be 8 Brand A rackets in stock.

The least number of Brand B rackets is 2......so....the greatest number of Brand C rackets would be : 24 - 8 - 2 =  14
