Here is a pyramid with a square base ABCD.  AB = 6 m.

 

The vertex T is 12 m vertically above M, the midpoint of AC.  Calculate the size of angle TAC.

The diagonal AC = sqrt 72      so AM = 1/2 sqrt 72

tan TAC = opp/adj = 12 /(1/2 sqrt 72)

TAC = arctan (12/(1/2 sqrt72) = 70.53 degrees
