How would one go about this? Is there a certain equation I need to use?

you need to use the pythagoras therom formula: c^2=a^2+b^2

on the right angled traingle which has a base of 2 and a height of 5

s^2=2^2+5^2

s^2=4+25

s^2=29

s=√29

s=5.4cm (nearest tenth)

c²=a²+b²,

c²=2²+5²

c²=4+25

c²=29

c=√29

c=5.4(1dp)

s=5.4(1dp)
