What is 92 + b2 = 62? I'm trying to hind the hypotenuse .
99^2+b^2 = (b^2)+81
9^2 + b^2 = 6^2 = {b=-((3*sqrt(5))*i), b=(3*sqrt(5))*i}
9^2 + b^2 = 6^2 has no real solution....to see why...
b^2 = 6^2 - 9^2
b^2 = 36 - 81
b^2 = -45
But......b^2 is ≥ 0 for all real numbers....thus, it can never be a negative........
