The other leg has a length of 8", making the hypotenuse have a measurement of

\(d = \sqrt{{8}^{2}+{6}^{2}}\)

\(\sqrt{100} in.\)

or 10 in.

Area =[Base x Height] / 2

24 = B x 6/2

24 =B x 3

Base =24/3 =8 inches

Hypotenuse^2=8^2 + 6^2

H^2 = 64 + 36 =100 take the square root of both sides,

H = 10 inches.
