How am I supposed to use the Pythagorean therum to answer the problem: A squared + B squared = 85 squared?

By rearranging you can solve for A^2 or A (would be opposite procedure for B^2/B).......A^2 + B^2 = 85^2.....subtract B^2 from both sides leaving us with A^2 = 85^2 - B^2 after that square root it all to give us...A = sqrt(85^2 - B^2).....without more information it is not possible to come up with exact digits for A or B just rearrangements that solve for A or for B.
