Solve for x:
3 (x-2)^2 = x (x-2)

Expand out terms of the right hand side:
3 (x-2)^2 = x^2-2 x

Subtract x^2-2 x from both sides:
3 (x-2)^2+2 x-x^2 = 0

Expand out terms of the left hand side:
2 x^2-10 x+12 = 0

The left hand side factors into a product with three terms:
2 (x-3) (x-2) = 0

Divide both sides by 2:
(x-3) (x-2) = 0

Split into two equations:
x-3 = 0 or x-2 = 0

Add 3 to both sides:
x = 3 or x-2 = 0

Add 2 to both sides:
Answer: |x = 3          or           x = 2
