The quadratic x^2 +5x + c has roots in the form of \(x = \frac {-5 \pm \sqrt c}{2}\) . What is the value of c?

The product of the roots = c / a  =  c

So this implies that.......

[ -5 + √c] / 2  *  [ -5 - √c ] / 2    =  c

[25  - c] / 4  = c

25 -  c  =  4c

25  =   5c

5  =  c
