Vanessa throws a tennis ball in the air. The function h(t) = -15t^2 + 45t + 10 represents the distance in feet, that the ball is from the ground at any time in seconds, t. What is the maximum height of the ball?

We're going to complete the square. :))

 h(t) = -15t^2 + 45t + 10

h(t) = -15(t-1.5)^2+ 43.75

A square minumn is 0, and we want the (t-1.5)^2 to be as small  as possible, so it's 0.

h(t) = -15*0+ 43.75

h(t) = 43.75

Our maximum height is 43.75
