If the roots of the quadratic equation 1/2*x^2 + 99x + c are x  = -99 - sqrt(7801) and -99 + sqrt(7801), then what is the value of c?

\(-99 - \sqrt{7801}= {-b - \sqrt{b^2-4ac} \over 2a}\)

\(-99 - \sqrt{7801}= {-99 - \sqrt{99^2-4(\frac{1}{2})c} \over 2 \cdot \frac{1}{2}}\)

\( \sqrt{7801}= \sqrt{99^2-4(\frac{1}{2})c}\)

\(7801 = 9801 - 2c\)

\(2c = 2000\)

\(c = 1000\)

hope this helps :)
